The OG is Remy Hair
OG Ponytail extensions are made with 100% Remy human hair, which means they can be washed and styled just like your own natural hair.
Remy hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair because the outermost layer of the hair, known as cuticles, are kept intact and not stripped, like in most other non-remy hair extensions. Preserving the hairs’ cuticles and aligning them in a unidirectional fashion creates extensions that are completely natural in appearance. This process also ensures that the hair remains super soft, shiny, silky and relatively tangle-free throughout its lifetime. All our OG ponytails are sourced and manufactured in China.
When cared for correctly, human hair can remain healthy and in good condition for years and years. However, because hair extensions are no longer attached to the scalp, the hair isn’t getting the natural nutrients and oils that it needs to flourish. Because of this, hair extensions generally last for 6-12 months before needing to be replaced.
Of course, this is only a guide, and if you follow the recommended maintenance and aftercare instructions, could see your OG Ponytail hair lasting considerably longer.

We recommend consulting your hairdresser before colouring/cutting the OG
Things NOT to use with the OG:
- Bleach
- Salt water/chlorinated
- Excessive heat
- Chemical hair products
- Sulphate/Alcohol base products
Brushing the OG
We highly recommend to use a tangle teezer or detangling brush on your extensions. Brushes with bobbles on the bristles or fine-toothed combs can interfere with the seams causing shedding and damage. Start at the bottom ends of the OG Ponytail and work your way up when brushing it. Using this method, you can brush the extensions gently while limiting breakage. Always brush your OG Ponytail before you wash or wear them. Washing the OG whilst they are knotty will make the knots even harder to get out which in turn can result in shedding.
Washing the OG
Only use Sulphate and Alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner on your OG Ponytail. Sulphate and Alcohol are both very drying ingredients that will decrease the life span of your OG Ponytail by drying it out.
Your OG Ponytail extensions aren't subject to the oils that your natural hair is, meaning you don’t need to wash the OG Ponytail as often. The less you wash your OG Ponytail the longer it will last. We recommend only washing the OG Ponytail once there is a lot of product build up.
Protecting the OG
Always use heat protection spray before styling your OG Ponytail. This will prevent the heat from your tools damaging the hair shaft by adding a protective layer onto the hair. We recommend using this on your own natural hair too!
Storing the OG
We highly recommend storing your OG Ponytail in the satin bag provided or by placing your OG in a satin/silk bag. This protects your OG from any unnecessary damage.
